Remember that time you woke me up at 3 a.m.,
just to tell me I looked good in sweatshirts?
Remember how we got pulled over by that cop in L.A.,
for doing ninety in a thirty-miles-an- hour zone,
And you tried to bribe him with a "Snickers" bar, and it worked…?
Remember when that warm night in July
our neighbor called us just to tell us that
our radio was so loud, she couldn't hear her TV?
Shedding tears by your quiet gravestone,
I can hear your answer pushing itself through the soil,
Like a young lily on a fresh April morning.
