Have you ever seen a golden orb of light
Fly over a blue vastness to the evening star?
Some have only seen the painful hand of time
Luminous in its awful sign, breaking minutes.
Have you ever heard white-alloyed waves of foam
Wet a ridge of sand and then retreat from land?
Some have only heard the loud silence of a child
Connected to their hearts in lonely waiting hours.
Have you ever loved, or is it fair to ask,
And built a Heaven on for more than one?
Some have only loved their self-puffed dreams,
A privilege to dissolve before the years.
Be safe,
Karen
