i see water
spill as blood
from an old dream
where my soul
walked free
endless sidewalks
late night lamp lit
shadows
dancing
across the quiet sleep
of children
behind closed windows
my open hand
filled by sand
moist with blood-water
dry lips
lost sips of rhyme
so in love with time
slow on a young man's mind
long highway talking
measured echoes
and walking
sunset calling
tired soul falling
into
and tomorrow
just another dream

Each line slips and flows into the next
with muddles clarity but tempting coherency
until at the end I got the strong feeling
that I had just been on an enlightening
journey. Very poetic.
A further collection of poems, many from years in the Middle East, but also the California San Francisco and Central Coast areas (Santa Cruz, Carmel, Big Sur, Berkeley, etc.).
Using Calgary as a backdrop the author satirizes the self-serving nature of the public as it continues to fatten itself, not only physically, but egotistically as well.
