"One can die in fear, in sadness, in loss or...

shade resting within
a rhyme of a poet's words
morning sunlight
harsh on tired eyes
no lies to compare
only distance
growing in a woman's stare
she's daring to believe in
within moments deep
where all the
no tomorrows live
touching shadows
breathing
all the hidden beauty
deep within the mirror
she choosing
she's dying alive
she's seeing the magic
of dying alive

Ron I understand. For every season there is a time...The Pain and the excess limitations leaves me facing the question: is it worth it? and then I get up have my Tea and watch my river running into the sea. Ans so taste the sweetness; just one more day! This poem is a reflection of a woman who became so much more the person she should have been more beautiful and alive now that she is facing a near death. Her husband just two years earlier passed after two years of so wanting to die. She's been fighting cancer and is now close to losing the battle. This Poem is to Honor her. And our daily Fight.

I believe a lot of people spend their days, "dying alive." But I must confess, after a night like last night, and many nights like it, along with days, that one gets tired of the pain and misery of illness or injury that works on the body even though the mind wants to ignore. Eventually, to the point where it is preferred to make it stop, even though it is against the law to do so.

We are all going to die, one day at a time, even if we don't look into the mirror.

Aren't we all watching ourselves die alive? I see it every time I look in the mirror! Scary!! Great poem.

Love ya!
