traces as liquid light
memories in echo
blind men swim
deep waters of delusion
lone boy carries
where only music believes
as concrete walls fall
mirrors bleed
watercolor carrying truth
if old men dared
once again
the sea
reflections
white moon circles

who
if words walk
across
the water within
your mirror
do you speak
to god
to yourself
to your parents
dreaming
in the morning light
calling out
without sight
who
would you die for
?
anyone…
Your poems always have a surreal touch to them. Like the sea living in surrounding the poet as he wrote. Who would I die for? When I first listened to Martin Luther King speak in that monotone with some repetition for emphasis, I almost went to sleep. But, by the time he was through with that momentous speech, I believe I would have taken up arms without arms and walked with him to our mutual death the face of violence and ignorance.
A double glimpse of life and love under the two ancient symbols--the moon and the sea. Add a wordsmith and poetry appears, on cue and in harmony. Nice.
Mary Angela Nangini's poems celebrate the richness of life and love. From the city to cottage-country and the roads in between, Nangini explores the changing seasons of her varied region. (This book will soon be reprinted in hard cover.)
Inspirational poetry, written from the heart and soul. Verses that are well-suited for reading on a rainy day and that are guaranteed to bring a smile to your face.
