This poem is one wrote that I am actually really proud of. After many days of serious thinking && nights of editing/revising this is the finished product. I was dating this guy and he meant the world to me, but then all of a sudden it was all over with no real explanation. So heres my final words...the things I never got to say...the things he never heard. Enjoy. ^_^
Here Without You [[ 5-11-07 /// 11-1-07 ]]
All I ever wanted was to hold on for as long as I could
to be happy...with you...I thought you understood
For me myself I will never know
why it was you felt the need to let go.
Remember when I was everything you were looking for...
little did I know you wanted something different...something more.
I thought we were keeping the same pace
but in the end I was last in your race..
You told me it was for the best that we didn't date
I suppose whatever happens happens...you can't fight fate
You tried to explain...tried to tell me why...but
man...I thought you were the guy...
Now I stare at the place where you once stood
sliently wondering why none of this turned out the way it should
please know I will always be here to lend you a helping hand
but it hurts being in the place where you have made me stand...
pushed back into a shadow...watching you like her
while all the past memories with you slowly become a blur...

Contraband Marriage, traveling along the hemline of loving after incarceration, is a love story written in lyric and free form, set in reality with a different ever after.
