Hear> CLOUDS by Moonlight> mp3 (from: RAIN Music) (c. 2011, to be released July 2011)
After a punishing drought, the fierce sun, burned grass & parched trees;
New leaves turned sickly yellow, brown then falling,
After my grand old Wild Cherry Tree, standing straight these seventy years;
Nearly broken, brought down to wilt,
After the moonscape land burned in smokey fires, week after week, the choking haze;
After I imagined the hell of a world without trees!
After all hope nearly burned up as well....
RAIN came! Two bursts enough to run back the ticking clock of death a few days to life. LIFE came! Again and again, She puts forth her ever-revolving hands, 'Kali-like', to bring down
the cool air aloft --
And, I read these words:
"The sun set; but set not his hope:
Stars rose; his faith was earlier up:
Fixed on the enormous galaxy,
Deeper & older seemed his eye;
And matched his sufferance sublime
The taciturnity of Time.
He spoke, and words more soft than rain
Brought the Age of Gold again"
After I imagined the hell of a world without trees - rain came - life came.
How Blessed is that life-giving rain, and how I wish they could get some of that blessed rain out in eastern Arizona. The massive wildfires are devastating their once glorious pine forest mountains, one of my favorite places in the Southwest.
And I just listened to your Rain Music and truly enjoyed it, my friend.
These song lyrics and art are tales, tides and twinkling lights - tunes telling stories of warmth and sun, city and sand, paths that lead, and the coins we can keep in the Karma Bank. Spirit's been bypassed for sorrow, dreaming of a better tomorrow .
Blessings,
Christine
Be always safe,
