Today I have faith

that

all things are real

And

when issues arise

I must face what I feel

I know today

that I can no longer hide

in a bottle

from the pain

of a

torn or hurt pride

In fact,

I've learned to stand

firm and stout

Since having a big ego

Eases God Out!



You see, I came to believe



When I admitted

to being

powerless

and

out of control

I accepted defeat to my

enemy

ALCOHOL

Today I can live happy

having

great support

from my friends in

recovery

and the principles I've

been taught



Since, I came to believe



I believe today

that with God in my life

I can overcome

my pain

my suffering and strife

And if, by chance

I want to pick up

a glass

my God gently

 tells me

"this, too, shall pass!"



Because, I came to believe



God is my friend

who gives me what I need.

Simply

Guidance, encouragement

and the 
Strength to Succeed.

I can let go of my past!

And no longer

feel odd!

Because in recovery

I have

LET GO and LET GOD!
