Why is conscience too scared
Covered itself in oblivious spirituality
Infinite to all senses outside
As it hits its gavel in the hearts of men
Why is conscience too fragile
Confined within the ribs of men
Even at the wrong times and places
Yet remains ever just and sincere
Why is conscience too subservient
Masked even by little lies and smiles
But remains the best judge
In the courts of the souls of men
Why is conscience too voiceless
Speaking too loud to be heard outside
As victims and casualties increase by the day
Dividing the bonds of humanity aloud.
