As we race to another year
Of the Lord of Hosts
When passions attitudes and habits
Will either gain or lose a milestone
When everything is new again
And behold older by another round
We race to another year
When America shades much of the scales of racism
Embresses the content of character
Like Italians once kissed a Polish Pope
We race to another year
When the World demands peaceful coexistence
Abhors the war drums of terrorists everywhere
And detests all forms of injustice anywhere
As we race to another year
May Providence open closed doors
To all men of Goodwill
And seal all openings
Where inhumanity will pop up
May the blessings be!

Very timely and strongly worded poem! "May Providence open closed doors and seal all openings where inhumanity will pop up.." is a prayer we all need to say. All of us need to start with ouselves and another year will be better for the world.
