I’m 40

I can’t see

Where this road will lead.

When I count my blessings

I’ve all I need.

I know I’m still young

Sometimes I feel old

You are my jacket

I’m never cold.

I’ve lost a few times

But I’m still in the race

With love in my heart

And a smile on my face.

I’m busy now

No time for sad

When little voices

Say I love you Dad.

I don’t have all the answers

Or a silver spoon

So I’ll sip my coffee

Beneath a daylight moon

Things will change

Or stay the same

The sun will shine

Or downpour rain

Everything’s okay

It’s as it should be

I’m doing fine
