It has been nine months since my beloved went home.
Time does not diminish love.

Today I watched the sun rise
And I thought I felt your embrace
As the warmth comforted me
And the light chased the dark away
As God painted the heavens
with hues of orange, pink and gold
I thought I heard you voice
In the stories the bird’s songs told
As day turned into evening
And the sun began to fade
I thought I saw you wink at me
As the first star looked my way
Even though I can not touch you
I feel your presence still
I see you all around me
Our love will never fade
I told you once, when we were young
That I could see our children in your eyes
Now I see you in theirs
So my love, I’ll sleep now
Until the sun rise
When I will hear you again.
