We seem alone when we're the only life found so far in our universe. Our sense of isolation is the theme of this poem. But I'd predict that with the recent landing of the U.S. probe for life on Mars, we may rather soon, find life there too. Great Island Earth
There’s an island
in the sea of possibilities
where I go to contemplate,
and am drawn by poetic waves
flowing onto its shores,
a tide of complexity coming in,
art longing for new images.
Then farther up, ghost walking on the sky—
searching vast earth below
for harmonious seasons,
dark loamed life,
new bread—
flying through sky
soaked in storms,
broken by sunshine,
sprouting green and warm,
on that last great island, earth.

Indeed we are NOT alone..it is a fact that has been established a while now..what we need to do is to accept a whole new way of thinking..according to the Maya Calender we are in the throes of collective consciousness..open your sensors..I know you'll see what I getting at..the Gallactic connection is already in action!
We don't know if life exists anywhere else out there. Maybe it does, people are always sighting weird objects and saying they have been abducted. It is a strange world and God has many secrets he has not let us know about.
