I entered this world with a tear in my eye,
A strange man looking with a smile and a sigh.
This place was so strange,
So bright and unknown.
Sounds had a great range,
from a scream to a moan.
I took my first step,
people shouted with glee.
Who are these strange folks,
I call family.
I've grown from a young boy into a man,
married with kids and now understand.
We enter this life with only our fear,
We pray we leave without a tear.
This is not how it will be,
for we will leave behind our family.
And like the strange man before me came,
I'll live my life much the same.
He raised and taught me all that he knew.
Now I hope I pass it to my young crew.
It's our love for each other,
Our sister and brother,
Our love and respect for Father and Mother,
This is all that's meant to be,
this is the secret of life and family.
