Why do I believe in brotherhood When I am surrounded by adversaries? Why do I believe in brotherhood When I'm taking the sniper's blast Directly to the face From across the fetid cesspool of my friends? Why do I believe in brotherhood In a city like Los Angeles That sells souls as if they were Cheap plastic bags that you might put your bullshit in? Why do I believe in brotherhood In a country like the United States When gang-bangers are taking money bets to see who'll gut me first? Why do I believe in brotherhood In a world such as this That sees only my credit report My social security number My wallet But not my face ?
