The grand lady is more of a symbol than a relic of medieval Christian fervent spending hundreds of years and fortunes to build. We are so imbued with tradition that we mourn when we hear of such loss. Fortunately, France was spared siege and bombing during World War II allowing artifacts like Notre Dame to remain unscathed until now, by the simple neglect of some construction equipment and failure to respond appropriately to an alarm.

Fortunately again, money has already been raised, and precious artifacts have been saved, so that President Macron's prediction that the cathedral will be rebuilt in five years probably will come true within ten.

I am relieved that the famous rose windows were saved and were not damaged. Also, the altar and the cross remains untouched by the fire. It's truly a God's miracles that these were saved from being damaged.

All the statues were saved as well because they were taken down for cleaning 4 days before while the Cathedral was going through renovation.

Some billionaires in France are pledging to donate hundreds of millions each to rebuild the Cathedral. The Cathedral SHALL BE REBUILT!... And the fire and God's miracles will go down as history with the Cathedral.
