a documentary held dear.    

This actor played some funny parts

considered now cinema arts.

YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN comes to my mind.

A more comic lead, I can’t find.

His tap dancing brought great applause

 and surprised us for worthy cause. 

BLAZING SADDLES, one for the book.

His Waco Kid, what a good look!

Did he need help? If you asked him

Waco would answer with cool whim.

And Leo Bloom, the shyest guy

in THE PRODUCERS, makes a try

to help put on a lousy play

 that is successful anyway.

before his genius was gone.

This documentary tells much

      with Mel Brooks adding his own touch.
