This black art we practice, a madam on pleasure house road.

my grip guides a Cross pen across attentive parchment

no laments, compliments alone remain behind in graphite

euphoric concepts laid in lazy lines deigned by muse

the erasure is pristine pink, unmarked from the frustration

created in the ways of error and discontentments
curses

melodies whispered in magic on the wings of butterflies

content has drawn a smile wide upon my aged face

harmony had its way with my will and gently wrapped

the parchment, the pen and I in rapture upon my desk

the black art of poetry strummed chords of pleasure to me

in a call persuasive and knowing not the way of release

moment after intense moment of psycho-sensual glee

I recognize the satisfaction, a magnificent glass of port

a cup of tea simmering in front of my waiting taste

moonlight dancing creamy on a shimmering lake

a rose releasing devilish aromatics to my tentative nostrils

poetry, lewd mistress of my imagination you pleasure
me

with the impunity of a bawd house madam

I prefer the real thing, but, at a certain age, poetry will have to do.

BTW, excellent poetry--subject and execution.

And then, not being too careful, a thought opened the door to the dark dungeons where mischievous wishes and malevolent yearnings will try to capture the naive daydreamer...

This is quite a cauldron that you have offered here, Jon. Magnificent in imagery and thus imagination awakened; mine certainly. Love and peace to you,

Feels dark in the area of depravity. Where demons lurk to entice one in to darkness. That is the atmosphere and feeling that came to me.
I guess a kinda repulsion. Powerful poetry.

What a way of seeing - poetic, metaphysical, sensual, sexual - and not only seeing but feeling, responding and exploring; the images you choose, Jon, are rich in every way, a black art magic and compulsion.
You draw me in deep and it's thoroughly rewarding.

John
