Tempting
Tempting, so tempting to shock the world with the new and unimaginably joyful song I sing
To stop keeping to myself the tangible yet nameless pleasures that you bring
And fling aside the worries and constraints I feel since I have known,
and share this secret rapture because others can't let go.
Tempting, oh so tempting.
The rest of the world slumbers in quiet blissful dreams of mediocre hopes and plans.
Too innocent to know, too tired of chasing frozen dreams to dare to dance the dance.
Our wild tango circles round them, teasing, and it's so unfair.
Love's fury flies above their heads while still, they're unaware.
Tempting, oh so tempting.
They cannot fathom escaping bonds inside themselves and dare to live so free.
The fire frightens and forces their survival on pre-allotted rationed schemes.
The fire is only safe for those who know and dare the burn
of passion's truly branding touch , the insufferable is learned.
Tempting, oh so tempting.
I wail for those whose eyes cannot see, whose ears cannot hear and whose
bodies will never tell.
I yearn to share this mystic well but they cannot touch
their souls and come outside their shells.
They hide behind imagined safety walls of glittered, gleaming wealth.
They lock their hearts inside, afraid to depend on someone else!
Tempting, oh so tempting.
