Nine Years Is Not Enough
To forget
Silent Twins
who held worlds in their arms
with dreams of the American way.
Memories—
violent flashbacks
which explode on impact
and vaporized reality.
No, nine years is not enough!
To ease the pain.
To forget the images—
the inferno of liquid flames that licked
unmercifully—
causing victims to leap without faith
with hopes of instance forgiveness.
Victims who in their last breath
exhaled, God save me!
No, nine years is not enough!
To grieve.
For families, friends and strangers
whose remains are only memories.
And for we who survived
stand, soot faced
in a graveyard of lost dreams,
theirs and ours.
No, nine years is not enough!
To forget
the nightmare of this
evil travesty.
Thank you for sharing Tracey.
May the Lord Bless you, and those whom you love, and be with you always, and walk by your side. With love in my heart, joy to the world, peace on earth, & ((((((((((MANY WONDERFUL SISTERLY HUGGGGSSSS)))))))))), your little sister Barbie.
