It was Valentines Day
and Lisa Ann dressed
the occasion in a thin
revealing dress
that swirled the flavor
of ripened mangos
succulent and juicy.
She had a look of disbelief
sitting on the edge, this
stairway of a whorish hell.
How she came to this place,
would fill an evaded novel
that sat on a dusty shelf
in a small town library.
Unnoticed by passersby
with the exception of a photographer
who gazed though a wide-angle lens
capturing the essence
of her loveliness,
the childlike woman
who still believed in love.
If only "one" would give her a chance,
she would walk away from existence
of daily parades to the corner,
selling pleasures to secure another day
of survival, the daily ill reputes of her life.
