Leaning upon the window ceil
I can hear the winds chime,
pondering with thoughts
of this simple man, I find
who towers with words
dripping from his pens prevail,
effortless he captivates
few that read his brail.
Surviving through years of abuse,
these pages, he scribes
holds secret whispers
to those who can transcribe.
Shadows invade to play
their games of hide and seek,
tag you’re it with a grin of deceit.
I reach offering a friendship,
he accepts with a silent denial,
he is after all, a man to tower
quietly where wall meet,
embracing cobwebs from the pretrial.
I watch waiting with hope
he will find the mirror of my eyes,
the reflection, a mortal
with a heart that bleeds with time,
a man with heartfelt words
the world needs to read,
helping those who also, need to be freed.

I have missed a few of yours lately, things move so fast here,
Its a long way down, I would use the stairs if I were her-------Morchuis
As a person who loves God more than self, I have always hoped to live to see the day we could put rhetoric aside and realize most of us want the same things. We just have different ideas on how to achieve it. I hope we can have a peaceful place here at the Den for we are all here for the main purpose of writing poetry, and yes expressing ourselves and being read. It would be nice if we stopped the political baloney and put it in another forum on boards or something, and lets get back to enjoying each others poems. this comment will go on everyones post, so please don't feel singled out;-) Thank you, God bless your day, and make it a good one!
