"Daddy’s Girl" a poem from the collective works of Clara A Treat
“Why does my daddy leave everyday ?” Our little girl asked As she stopped her play. Quickly I hugged her And tried to erase Such a serious frown On that baby face. One thing, my love, I think you should know, How much daddy loves you, That’s why he must go --- To earn all the things We need everyday And each little toy You love while at play. I know that you miss him, He misses you too, Just remember he’s going Because he loves you.

i love it! being a dad, and have to do the due, my daughter and son always hugs and kisses before i leave for work. Beautifully written with an answer most children would not understand.
