Merely a turn of the wheel...

by Kalikiano Kalei — Read all 118 poems by Kalikiano Kalei

Another interesting pome by my friend, A. Nonie Maus (fellow member of the 'Bad Potes Society of Suckatomato'), dealing with the Marxist disease that now pervades America's culture. Herr Maus is currently on leave from his nominally 'usual professional activity' and wishes to remain hidden from public recognition.

Poem Artwork

The ink was still wet on the broadside of hope,

As they measured the neck for the hangman’s new rope,

And toasted the fall of the crown and the sword.

The logic of history, cold as a knife,

Dissects every limb of a commoner’s life,

In the name of a peace that the poor can’t afford.

The committee is meeting in chambers of gold,

To sell off the dreams that were never quite sold,

While the dossiers fatten on rumors and lies.

A hero is minted and then he is shot,

To ensure that the martyr doesn't thicken the plot,

Underneath the unblinking and lead-colored skies.

The slogans are painted on walls that are thin,

To cover the rot that is brewing within,

And the stench of the fear that no incense can hide.

The worker is chanting, "The future is mine,"

While standing in slush in a mile-long line,

With nothing but salt and his shadows for pride.

So bury the books and the poets they praise,

In the soot of the fires the patriots raise,

To keep out the chill of a truth they can’t face.

The revolution is merely a turn of the wheel,

Where the hand on the whip is the only thing real,

As the winners erase every footprint and trace.

Turn of the wheel is divided by eight
equinox and solstice are equal weight

The winter solstice of the Yule tide
Imbolc is next to effect the divide

Oestara marks the equinox of spring
Beltane in May gets the bells to ring

Summer Solstice arrives as mid summer
Lughasah is set by the inner transformer

Autumn equinox is Mabon for harvesting
Samhain harvests last as new year beginning

There is no room in America for a Marxist Revolution
that virus not a pandemic, quarantining Left's solution

Not all are on that wave length of totalitarians control
Not welcome as exporting this ideology is our goal.

Communism has always led to the use of force and totalitarianism every time it has been tried. Great poem by Herr Maus.

I can't see why he would want to remain anonymous. It is interesting that the current whip yielder has promised all the miners and factory workers more jobs and higher pay when the opposite has happened.

Automation followed by AI has literally made the proletariat of hard-working factory workers obsolete. What we have now is wealthy and poor. Everyone still has something to contribute to society, even if it is only poetry or art that does not sell.

The wheel is often referred to as the pendulum. Eventually it will, and has been since the first democracy in practice beginning in 1776 as proven that equality, fraternity and inclusion is far better than aristocracy.

BTW that's a cool website with no followers.
