Find her in everything, in morning’s first gleam,
In rain on the window, in dust motes that dream;
In gull-winging clouds over blue-breathing seas,
In the hush of old gardens and gossiping trees.
Find her in everything, in lantern and flame,
In letters half-faded that still speak her name;
In songs from a doorway, in footsteps at noon,
In the silver-tongued pull of a late-rising moon.
Find her in everything, in sorrow and grace,
In shadows that soften the lines of her face;
In laughter that startles the dust from the years,
In courage that blooms from the salt of her tears.
Find her in everything, from near and afar,
In the pulse of the earth and the wink of a star;
For love leaves its fingerprints, tender and true ,
On all that she touches, when she reaches for you...

Yes, lasting love, in this case, for the opposite sex, crates great poetry that never goes out of style.
Makes me wonder if poetry targeted towards a beautiful man in a swimsuit would be greeted with such wonder? Just the gay crowd, even if it was written by a woman?
