Golden brown and burnt sienna ..

The reed dance

Golden brown and burnt sienna

My name is Dadudzi, and I'm a Swazi

We are dancing for mama Kozi,

the Queen, her house, her hacienda, the

Dance, it is called the Reed Dance

One hundred maidens, plumed and feathered

glistening bodies whooping, snaking

carrying reeds and hiding ..

Necklaces made from beads, shining white

and turquoise

We, one hundred maidens are building

mama Kozi's hacienda

Her son, the King is watching

And I know he is waiting

Tonight will be a wedding ..

Mama Kozi has her hacienda

Me, my name is Dadudzi, and the time is night

My King and I are standing, and the moon is shining bright

You take your reader "into the moment," Li. Very nicely done. Love and peace. Regis

I can feel the beat of the drum! Exotic, it draws you into the dance. Very fine, Li...

Of course Li, I could not help but be drawn to this, considering the title. Celebratory dance heals the mind, invigorates the body and makes life a little easier to handle.

The imagery is colorful, and I'm wondering what kind of "dance" was created after Dadudzi and her King retired for the evening. (smiles)
