This poems is about "patriotism" and what constitutes it. It is about "Democracy" and what constitute it...Does the pursuit of Democracy validate the use of violence?

The clouds ahead of me

The journey may not end

It is not my wish

To relish

A salute to the Flag.

Am I a traitor?

Is an expression of freedom a riot?

Sing along with me.

Through and beneath green and white signs of my destination

Paying divine homage to the Banner

From all sides in my direction

It imposes

With psychological coercion

The Patriot spirit

With an act

A decree

Where justice head

Buried in rhetoric

Is forever desecrated.

Am I an ungrateful wretch?

A traitor?

Please, sing along with me.

For dear fatherland

Motherland?

It doesn’t matter

It really doesn’t matter now

That I too, am a traitor

Never by choice, nor by anything

But by the disdain of the impostor

So my brother

My Sister

Speak your mind

Savor freedom

It doesn’t matter

Anymore…

I will raise my voice to ask:

Oh mighty warrior –

Where lies thy assurance?

Of your own free will

That will never die

All that I can see now…

Destruction, destruction and destruction.

Your voice is loud,in the midst of the destruction your poetry
FREELY sings.
Your poem is powerful, that you wrote it shows me that you are certainly no traitor to self.Amidst the destruction, flowers grow.
Homage is what I save for the one who will never die.
Your poem is excellent.
Best wishes always
from
kay.
