My eyes are open now to this downward spiril I've been riding on...

I wish I could blame you,

For all of the mistakes I made.

I wish I could hold you accountable,

For all of my emotions I have betrayed.

Trusting everyone but myself,

This path is littered and broken,

I cut myself on the glass of my past,

I’m bleeding and my fears still unspoken.

I focus on the road ahead, my tears blinding,

I step in between the bodies of my flaws

Hoping this path will lead me into the clear,

I continue down this hell without a pause.

The ground is littered with pieces of my pain,

The sky drips and leak with my anguish,

My hope and my pride has been trampled,

The feeling of regret is all I languish.

My road to redemption is paved with my errors,

I take the time I was given and waste it more in vain,

Brick by brick I solidify my own damned fate,

I came to the conclusion that I am far from sane.

...intense and well written words...perhaps to strike a match with pity...and give the candle of hope...light.
