I Am

“I Am is here,” a voice said to me one day

As I was sitting

Just sitting and thinking to myself

I looked around to see who was speaking

The search was empty

I was alone

Alone just sitting

Sitting and thinking to myself

“I Am is here,” the voice said again

This time I thought I was losing it

“Shalonda, I Am is here.”

That time I heard my name

And for a minute I stopped thinking and just

Listened

“I Am your protector from the fiery darts

No weapon.”

No weapon the voice had said

“That is form against you shall prosper because I Am

I Am is here.”

“I Am your heart mender I’ll fix what is broken

I’ll complete what is incomplete

With me you can be whole because I Am

I Am is here.”

By this time I was in tears

For I had realized that it was Him

My Father, My Everything

He had spoken- To me-

And just when I thought He was done

He spoke- To me- Again

“I Am the love of your life

Whoever I send to you will have to resemble

My true LOVE for you

You will have Joy

You will have what you ask because I Am

I Am is here.”

“I Am your favor there is nothing you can’t have

When your mind is on my will I will cause miracles to happen in your life

You will not need -because I Am

I Am is here.”

“Oh! Father Thank you,” I parted my lips- but- He hushed me

He was not yet finished speaking

I had to obey and just -Listen

“I Am your prosperity -Lack is no more

You plant -I’ll grow -You’ll reap

Your hour of not enough is over because I Am

I Am is here.”

“I Am the Light -Because you know me -You now see

Where I’ve brought you from -Where you are-

And -Where you’re going is a place for the obedient-

And -You will make it with Me because I Am

I Am will always be with you.”

Now by this time I’m no more good -Tears are flowing -Heart is pounding

Joy is spilling out all over

Because He spoke -To me-

Because He loves -Me

All I could do was fall

On my face

And say -“Thank you, I Am,

For being -I Am -To Me.”
