my door was opened
and the phone was ringing,
but you had better business
than any call,
your body coiled around
my office chair with your
lips pouting hello.
I felt my smile broaden but
I asked "where is he" instead,
hoping you were alone, no
strings, no bikini top,
no kidding.
sucker, sucker, I'm
your sucker, you play games
like some damn New York model,
your legs propped up on the desk,
your fingers caressing
your own thigh.
turning off the lights,
I pushed beside you,
forgetting your husband,
your kids, and remembering
only your soft hand,
guiding me inside.
