it felt tight,
sharp like wire,
I tried screaming,
then working just
one finger under.
wire, cutting my throat,
drops of blood on
my white T-shirt,
Adam's apple bobbing close
to death,
then he slipped,
shoe jerking off
the sidewalk, his hand
lurched,
wire loose.
I gasped air, felt
my elbow mash his ribs,
he took off,
running through
midnight air,
his swift flight
outlined by security
lights.
it was him, her
husband, murder
attempted, jesus,
is she worth it?
Welcome!
The poems in this beautifully bound book are a result of over twenty years of observations. Observations of the world around us and on the telecommunications network. All of the hate, love, heroism, disasters, and those who help.
