of lower-class mediocrity
put your uniqueness out there,
who knows, really,why
the sandwiches are
always peanut butter,
why the milk money has
been lost,
why the dessert consists
of apple slices.
no one can steal your brain,
unless religion brainwashes
your uniqueness, makes you ready
for church three days a week,
with prayer meetings
and door-to-door
witnessing stifling
a life of promise.
believe in god, yes,
but reject those who
would interpret the lord
in their own warpped ways.
think for yourself,
don't say ditto before
you check the facts.
