When We Meet Again
One day---
When we meet again
I’ll give you flowers grown in my heart,
Fresh and pure, and without blemish
Nourished from the fountain of my eyes
And songs from birds that know my love for you
Butterflies that pour out their fragrance,
And the wind and sun that watch over you
As you sleep in eternal beauty.
Some day----
When we shall meet again,
We’ll romance in the garden of tranquil ocean,
We’ll sing with the symphony of Mozart,
Our voices so loud and sweet,
It will awaken the dead,
And the sick and dying will find strength,
And the afflicted and despised
Shall learn to forgive and love again.
Tomorrow, like yesterday---
When we meet again,
Let all glory and praise
Be to the love that conceived us
From the word of the spirit
From the emptiness into flesh
That feels, loves, hates,
And kills and rebels,
But never abandoned
By the merciful hands,
That mold life from clay.
Forever, we’ll be one---
When we shall meet again,
We’ll be the blooming flowers
Whose sweetest fragrance pours
From the water falls on the mountain top,
Pouring down with sweet music
Dashing upon us, just two
Bathing in the quiet stream, hugging
The corners of the deep valleys
As the sun strolls quietly by,
Changing the colors of the sky
And the shadows painted on the valleys.
We shall never part----
When we meet again,
Like children of innocence
And purity of heart and purpose,
We’ll play in the clouds above the skies,
And sleep in the bosom below tranquil streams.
Day after day, blessed with each other,
Rich with each other,
We’ll know happiness through each other;
As we awake from deep slumber,
To embrace and know life’s greatest gift,
The love we’ve for each other.
My favorite lines...
"Bathing in the quiet stream, hugging
The corners of the deep valleys"
I like those lines because they can be read two ways, and each meaning is beautiful.
