His mind senseless and unclear
White walls fade to black
A clear fluid hastens his cardiac

The courts have had their say
The Governor chooses not to stay
Another human faces death
The liquid disappears before his last breath

Justice served—an eye for an eye
A human sacrifice by law
Another soul hears the call
Lights dimmed, the witnesses leave
For the innocent, a final reprieve
Finality an elusive curse
As the body leaves inside a hearse

I have enjoyed the reading of a magnificent poetic writing,
which stands as a witness of our times through the millennia.
many innocent people die by the will of the State ... keep those convicted in prison and let justice serve its course ...
sometimes mistakes are made and prison is the only recourse to correct the possibility that justice was not served ...

The controversy will never end when it comes to this subject, some agree some don't, but when one is faced with the decision, of taking one's life for another, if they were to remove the anger, and the grief...they would find, it wouldn't be near as easy of a decision as they first thought.
My family had to make that decision a few years back...we decided, that we removed him from society, by making sure he went to prison, for a long long time...the rest of his judgement, lies in God's hands.
In "A Touch of Your Presence" are words that would inspire, encourage and strengthen one's soul when faced with challenges and difficulties and to know the awesomeness of God's power.
