Remembering a lazy Sunny Afternoon by the River with my Love...
Me and you....Trapped In A Time Warp...
Nestled into the crook of your neck,
Benign warmth from an intuitive Sun
gently caressing my eyelids,
I feel like a child again,
safe and secure within your strong
and capable arms.
The lapping, lazy River entrances my mellow gaze,
Sunlight skipping happily
like a playful child over the gentle movement
of the waves, delighting my open senses.
The Grecian steps where we choose to sit,
Hot and warming...
In perfect harmony with our inner desires...
Your eyes seek mine once more,
and I melt to my inner core,
Luxuriating in the waves of love and want that envelop
the totality of my being...
The hazy horizon beckons yet again,
Always drawing me to thoughts further afield,
an apt metaphor for my fluid inner self....
And you beside me, loving and tender,
an integral thread of this wondrous process..
Can this bliss last forever?
Frozen fast within the Hands of Time,
You, Me, the Steps, the River,
Warmth and Security, Desire and Mystery
Flowing like the tranquil waters before us...
You..and Me,...just You and Me...

This is one of the most beautiful love poems that I have ever read. This kind of love cannot be manufactured. It is the kind of love that poured out of the heart and soul. This is the purest kind of love. This one is a treasure.
