The ease with which each line flows makes this poem truly great. The poet gently enters into the disturbed world of the poem and sees so much in the temporarily undisturbed nature. There are few poems which talk of the ocean and a river together. The search for balance, peace and harmony is indicative of the maturity of the poet who can see that in the current situation these are not easy commodities to come by unless one turns to nature.
What deserves true praise in the poem is the handling of the rhyme the presence of which is scarcely felt. Hats off, Diana.

All one has to do is leave the house in springtime and head out to a local park to see all this soothing tranquility take place and free the spirit from all of the bad news that one hears every day. That is your theme for this poem, rightly written.

We must all remember that the news we receive, it is the worst from around the world involving a very small fraction of humanity. And when bad things happen next door or to us, to remember that they are rare and rarely will happen again, and lest we leave the circumstances that caused the problem to remain without correcting it. You have provided ways to correct our attitude with your poem.
