BLUES Blue blues Dark with clouds of grey, Hover over long nights, And slow, creeping days. Bluest blues Blinding sad, Beat heavy on my heart Like an old punching bag. I’m getting too old to Weather them blows. Mean blues Beat me senseless, No use fighting no more. My eyes is black. My lips are bust. Turned my last trick for blues Lying down in the dust. Can’t blame it on my man Or the hard times I had, Just got the mark of the blues Sitting on my forehead.

...words...as if to wear the color...of scarred notes...from a horn of...plenty blue...hitting the low sounds...a street artist.

I don't usually comment on but one poem per person per day . . . In your case I had no choice but to come here . . . Thank you for not laying a victim status on the street worker . . . Although there are some who are truly victims out there, the biggest majority, by far, are there because they want to, no matter how many excuses sofiety tends to give them . . . This is fact . . . Straight from a former street person . . .
