Where You Are Tonight

Putting up another fight, while I wonder where you are tonight.
A grief that escapes through empty tears, immortalizing all those years.
Loosing all faith and hope and dreams.
Reality never was as good as it seemed.
Darkness seeps in through cracks unseen, dispersing the light that once glowed bright.
So here I am, out of sight, wondering where you are tonight.

Outside the wind whispers a cool night air
The sky grows dark, and the stars appear
Not thinking a thought
Or dreaming a dream
Now I walk through the night
With a cool night breeze.
But here I am alone, though out of sight, wondering where you are tonight.

Keeping you here in my mind
Remembering times where we would find
Those moments that stand still in time.

The dim street light pours down onto the empty street
I stand under it a stranger, to those I don’t meet
But around me the night’s so dark
Leaving on me its mark
Soon destined to know
What truths can be shown
But standing under the dim street light,
I can’t help but wonder, where you are tonight.

Moving away, through a misty haze
Looking to the stars, in which I can lose my gaze
Set out before me is everything I have ever dreamed
So far away or so it seems

The mist curls in around me
The wind whispers a calming breeze
And through the trees the moon shines
Beautiful enough to make one cry.

Standing alone in the darkened streets
Still a stranger to those I don’t meet
Looking past the world I see, more then anything you in my dreams
But standing under those stars, shining bright,
I can’t help but wonder
Where you are tonight…
