The embers of the moon
shine delicately upon my face,
I look to the darkened sky above,
In which I can think thereof,
Of what remains unspoken.
And now the wind whispers softly,
As I let my thoughts evade,
And the trees weep with somber,
Now all those moments we longed for,
Just simply fade away.
The skies so vacant
As these words are just a rant.
This emptiness grows
As my vacant tears hides all my woe.
And I can see everything I’ve taken granted for
And now my life I implore,
As I’ve done once before.
Torn is my heart,
Buried far beneath the dirt
There to manifest within the earth.
Now it all seems so Melancholy
How the past just won’t let go
As day by day the more it shows.
So now I look up to the skies
With these glassy, glazed eyes
As now I just wait for my demise.
