Funny. I'm sitting in my drawing class posting this poem instead of doing my work. tsk tsk.
Our time has come
We must move on
Don't cry, my love
Don't say goodbye.
Thinking of you
When I try to sleep
Won't take my eyes off you
When I see you on the street
Don't let them take you away, dear
Don't say goodbye.
Alone, sitting in the dark
Almost forgotten, almost gone
Won't let them see
What they've torn apart
This is where I lie
I heard you say goodbye.
The last time you looked in my eyes,
You said goodbye
The last time you'd hold me,
You said goodbye
The last thing you didn't even have to say -- You said goodbye...

this is well crafted, however if i may suggest: delete "you whispered goodbye" too dramatic. "the last thing..." is much better to end with
