I have no illusions anymore
there are no wolves at the door
red riding hood grew up to be a whore
and snow white murdered her prince
before
he could plead insanity
They painted
the yellow brick road green
and dorothy screamed
when they melted the tin man
for scrap metal
Alice grew frightened
and never grew up
she went undercover
in rehab to recover
Rapunzel
cut her hair
As the prince reached
the top
she let him drop
Sleeping beauty
was found awake
mesmerized by
her prince's snake
Cinderella did not
go to the ball
And humpty dumpty
didn't take the fall
And all the kings horses
and all the kings men
couldn't put TRUE LOVE
together again.
