has there ever been a time of lost children
falling asleep in the cradled arms of a stranger
retreating into a blissful haven
turning away from obvious danger
trapped behind cold grey stone
the wall refusing to yield
a door opens with a tremulous groan
years hence has it been sealed
innocence assaulted by time
giving way to a new age
and no one is lost to the hidden crime
of our child's silent rage
This book represents a thirty-day period of my poetry journal. Each poem addresses
the dominant thoughts occupying my mind during the early morning hours of a given
day.
Inspirational poetry, written from the heart and soul. Verses that are well-suited for reading on a rainy day and that are guaranteed to bring a smile to your face.
Striking composition... "lost" is singing to reason and fairness.
