I remember these perfect pungent days Of spring from long gone youth And somewhere between then and now I've lost sight of trust and truth And dreams and hopes, and other things That seemed important then The kinds of things that often shape The destinies of men In youth they went before me Like some divine and guiding light But now they have diminished Dulled by life's oncoming night Well, this light I pass to you my son Take heed and use it well 'Cause now it's too pale to light my way To Heaven-or to Hell!

What an extraordinary person you are, to write a poem to your Son on "Father's Day" and a touching, well written one, at that!
