formula for peace...

Collective Son

What is this puzzle, for a mother?
A hand, a leg, which does not fit -
part of an infant, part of a soldier boy,
bodies splashed against both sides
of blood- speckled streets
Roadside, sidewalk pieces;
the literal collective son, brothers,
sisters - missing parts, fall like ashes,
pushed off to the side…the back side,
dark side, opposite side, sideways -
parts identified; forgotten when
the puzzle is complete.
There is no moral to this story,
no solution or formula for peace
just a white bird that can not sleep.

we are all sons of the collective being seeking to find the peace only love can bring ... unfortunately, we live on a planet of pieces and whose soul in not at peace with itself and so the white bird cannot find rest ... a puzzle mothers have endured for centuries ...

Great write...I agree with Victor, the only true formula for peace is love for your fellow man.

I would have said that the only formula for peace is love for your fellow man, irrespective of what they represent. Provocative poem. Victor

Through the Amazon by S. Oliver Eldridge

The drug called "The Shari" has been used for vision quests over many years. But, when all the rivers start drying up, the tribe must send a young hunter named Tomás on a much more important trip through the Amazon.
