During this time I was going through a really hard time. Depression was trying to overcome me, and there were many struggles in my family and my life. It was so hard to have faith at that time. But I held on and things did get much better.

FAITH

When the sun is shining and the sky is blue

It's easy to trust Him and your faith feels brand new.

When the birds are singing and you have no pain

Faith rises up inside, and you can smell the rain.

Your life is full of joy, your needs are all being met

You look all around you and your world is all set.

Then comes the clouds, the storm lashes the skies

Darkness comes in over you, and the singing dies.

As the darkness swirls around you, and the sun never shines

The pain is so intense, and you yearn for the good times,

Now is the time for the testing

How deep is your faith?

Can you trust Him now when all you can do is wait?

Can you believe He is there, when you see no hope?

My friend, now's the time to hang on to that Rope,

The Scarlet Ribbon from the Cord of Love He holds

Because it's then you’ll learn that's how your faith unfolds.

It fills your heart with joy because you can hold to the Light

Your faith grows in the test of the storm

All through the night.
