BIG GIRLS DO CRY

They say big girls don’t cry, but is that true ?

I cry, do you cry,

Oh sure you do

Like a dust ball in a corner forgotten by the mop swept over by the broom

You curled up in the corner and you weep

No one hears you no one sees you

But then does anyone pay attention when they do see you

What is it they say? Laugh all laugh with,

Cry, cry you on your own

****

Big girls cry, oh sure they do

You stub your finger and yell Sugar-Honey-Iced –Tea

And before you know it here comes the flood

Not from the pain that shot through your fingers

But from the one that shot through your heart that cannot seem to heal

****

Big girls, they cry

Crack a door, any door at 4:00AM and you will see

Big Girls,  oh,  do they CRY.
