While the weeds were shooting roots deep into the ground
we thought a rose-filled garden was growing all around
and as the heavy random waves crashed nearby our home
you looked upon the heart I gave
then left me... all alone.
Now the torrent of the sea
is sadly howling songs to me
and banshees lullaby my sleep
to sooth me with a dream so deep
that all the aching I was dealt
is but a long-gone thorn I felt.
INDEED, WAVES OF LIFE....THEY COME AND GO AND WE SURVIVE THEIR PLUNDERING BY THE STRENGTH OF...'HIM'...WHO YOU KNOW. THANKS MY FRIEND. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...HIS INSPIRATIONS
I have felt like this, and this poem you wrote, reminds me that I am not alone in these 'waves of life'. But I like the way you concluded the poem...words of comfort, hope. Your write is very visual, and tells a story, which I always enjoy when reading poems. This one I felt very deep down in my heart, thanks Kay.
My, my, this is a wonderful poem about being deserted by the one you loved. The last two lines are wonderful in the extreme that you serviced
and made your way. This is a hard poem to write I feel.
Major League ballplayer Justin Moore is kidnapped from his own ballpark and transported to a foreign land. It might take high-level international negotiations to free him. Or maybe he will take matters into his own hands.
