There's a chamber hidden in your heart
that none but you may see,
it's been there from the very start,
to store each much-loved memory.
You can find it IF you close your eyes,
it IS where the one you lost...survives.
It's the place
where you still see their face,
it's the room where gloom turns into grace.
You may go there on a sad day,
when you're feeling SO alone,
perhaps in prayer,you may go there,
for it's there... where they're NOT gone.
You will sit with them and hold them,
and look into their eyes,
you'll repeat what you once told them,
that your 'love for them never dies,'
and in this chamber of your heart,
the two of you will smile
and sit inside love's garden
together for a while.
Perhaps you'll see a bluebird there,
or a happiness that you both share,
recalling yesterdays,those loving words once heard,
pondering those moments that so joyfully occurred.
It's a place that gives such comfort,
and I hope you know it's true ,
it's the refuge for a grieving heart,
and God put it there ...for YOU
