Love and special days such as Valentine's Day are more than the chocolate inside of the red heart. It is a time to rekindle the flames of the heart, and to erase the bitter words. Saying "thank you" to your loved one is worth more than a dozen roses.

"Quando siete nell'amore ricordate le belle cose." This means, "When you are in love, you remember only the beautiful things." V ibrant and vivacious smiles will be shared on the bench, as the sun reveals the flecks of gold, brown, and gray in his eyes. A morous moods will dance across the horizon as the bitter words fade away with the crashing waves against the shoreline. L ove, desire, and passion will consume the lovers, as they rediscover the lines on their faces, and rekindle the flames of passion. E ndless kisses and caresses will replace the loneliness, as they hold each other under the arms of the moon. N ew journeys will be planned as he will take her away from the bench to sway to their favorite song playing from the car radio. T ogether they will walk the shoreline to share stories of the past, and the laughter will light up the night sky as they embrace each other near the lighthouse. I nsatiable desires for the taste of each other's lips will consume them, and they will rediscover all the curves of their bodies. N ight will drape its dark blue carpet in the sky, as the two lovers will stop keeping track of time under the stars and near the lit path of the lighthouse, E xcitement will fill their body as they will hear only each other's words as the background noise and confusion disappears. The heat of passion will cover their bodies like a blanket, and suddenly, they will realize that only the good memories will fill their hearts on Valentine's Day and every day. They will remember the simple things that they did for each other, and will take the time to say "thank you." The expectations of others will disappear, as they will realize that only their own hearts matter. The hearts of Valentine's Day will tell the lovers this: If you are in love, it is only the beautiful things that you will remember. May the heart be filled with wine, laughter, ocean breezes, and simplicity. Most of all, may all of the bitter words be washed away with the ocean tides. Most of all, don't keep love waiting until Valentine's Day. It should be every day. Write a valentine message in the sand every day.

That was beautiful--my miserable husband doesn't believe in Valentine's day and in 50 yrs of marriage has never sent so much as a card--odd thing is it's almost on our anniversary--feb 11th, so onme would think?? That's my Italian lover!!
