Christmas Time

For some it's Christmas trees and snow,
Sleigh rides and firesides, hearts aglow-
A time to be with loved ones dear,
To reminisce and spread good cheer!

Yes, all of this is well and good,
And something everybody should
Take time to do, and not neglect!
But life's enriched when we reflect
Upon the truth that God so loved,
And gave His best from up above-
A Baby born through virgin means,
A sinless life sent to redeem
The lost and fallen, doomed mankind,
See, through the Cross, new life we find-
The blood He shed was not in vain,
It cleanses hearts, removes sin's stains!

So may this Christmas time renew
Within our hearts this point of view-
The Christ of Christmas, the true reason,
He's why we celebrate the season!
